An attempt has been made to present the present textbook Science Class-9 according to the latest syllabus prescribed by the Board of Secondary Education, Uttar Pradesh (Prayagraj) and based on NCERT. The syllabus related to each chapter in the book is explained in the simplest language. Teachers and students are requested to evaluate the utility of the present textbook on the following lines: Keeping in view the characteristics – At the beginning of each chapter, the latest syllabus related to the chapter is given. According to the need of the subject, numerical examples and sufficient pictures have been included in each chapter. Key Points to Remember at the end of each chapter of the textbook for quick revision and then Various important numerical examples are given. At the end of each chapter, a questionnaire has also been given for practice, in which the given questions have been classified into objective, very short answer, short answer, long answer, and partial questions. An attempt has been made to give answers or hints or references to all types of questions. All the textual and practical questions of the NCERT textbook have been solved in a systematic manner OR References are given from the chapters of the present textbook.
